Quick scan through the songs. Great stuff.
"Because You Can" - Nice!!!
This is going to take a while.
--"Coastal Girls" is a hoot. Love the bass at the beginning and that solo at the end really cracked me up.

Many thanks to John for forwarding me the link, the email eventually arrived in my inbox this morning (dated yesterday?!). I've burned the songs to 3 CDs, and working my way through them now.
Hell of an eclectic mix, sometimes in the same song. I'm listening out for filler, and haven't really come across any yet. Interesting to consider the 'running order' issue as discussed previously: it would be very difficult, from what I've heard so far, to try and assemble these tunes into any kind of coherent order - the styles jump about so much. I'm thinking however, that somehow it would be possible to arrange the songs into 3 broad categories: country/roots/trad, pop, and the other stuff (kind of like that Tom Waits set that came out a couple of years ago).
That would, of course, slightly undermine the variety on offer here, but might be a way to try and organise some meaning and allow the wealth of material more easily consumable.
Actually, I've just realised I haven't loaded the songs into iTunes - maybe that does organise them into some order?

My download onto iTunes was not alphabetical, just seemingly random. Listening to them in that order makes as much sense as anything else. I'm about halfway through -- very few clunkers, and a lot of really interesting stuff.

It's great fun listening to the tracks with the notes from the 'main' website as a guide. The only song I could really live without is 'On The Corner Of I Love And You', but I knew that before anyway.
