I've gotta say, the dB's freakin' RULE.
Saturday's show at the Blueberry Hill Duck Room was everything I could have asked for. They tore through a bunch of old songs and most of their new CD with the energy of youth and the expertise of veterans. Still a much better band live than on record with Peter and Chris wailing on guitars and nailing those wonderful harmonies. Ace drummer Will Rigby is worth the price of admission by himself.
If you have a chance to see this band, don't miss it.

Sure wish I could have gone to the show. I've never seen the original four-piece. We were on our way back from Chicago seeing the Monkees. I've never seen them as an original four-piece either. Glad I got to see Nesmith.
I'm heading down the 19th to see NRBQ.

My band opened for them in Chicago back in 1981. I didn't really know who they were, and didn't think they were very good although I liked the drummer. About a year after that I really got into them and got all their albums! Wish I could go back in time!
