5/22, 2 pm. The 6/27 RF gig at the Ironhorse Music Hall, Northampton MA, is canceled. (They called to let me know my tickets will be refunded.)
I now await the quiet "crash, tinkle" of the Passim show being dropped as well. Stay posted.

Well, the good news is that the Passim show is probably safe and that Robbie will be at the Iron Horse on 6/27. The bad news is that he is now the opening act of a show that costs $75 in advance and a mere hundred bucks at the door. Grrrr...seeing Robbie at the Iron Horse was part of my vacation plans.

I ain't payin' $75 to see a bunch of also-rans.
Okay, probably really talented also-rans. Still don't like the proportion of also-rans to RF.
Do we still get Barefoot Gjersoe?

I think the Q board people are more incestuous than we are. More geeks, more couplings, more gossip... they go back to listserv days, don't they? Jeff, Paul, et al, that's a place to get lucky lucky, am I right? Talk about on the dunes in the cape ... That show is worth that much money just to watch the audience.
Not to dis Our Man's lushly creative musical relationship with Jenny S of the spotless fiddle, but I was hoping that the FitzGerald's show (and possibly the Soupcon show) would be the four men who help me tear it up old style. I want to be sunburned, drunk and screaming. This I need.

I exalt you yet again, not that it will help.

There is no Q board, never has been. It's always been a listserv. It's not any geekier than rf.com, and there's definitely a lower percentage of psychos, mostly an extremely nice and knowledgeable bunch of folks. As far as I'm concerned, there are only two types of people: those who like NRBQ, and assholes. There are probably a few who are both, but not very many. I'm hoping that one of the reasons the ticket price is so high is that a good chunk of the money will help pay Fergie's medical bills, which must be enormous. No confirmation of that, though.
