Thanks so much for asking, sweetie! She's still limping a little, and can't lay with her feet all stretched out behind her like she used to. But it's only been a week, so I don't expect for her to be all better yet. When I took her on a potty walk today, she made a sudden move to chase a squirrel (but she couldn't because I have her on short leash now), and it hurt her leg and she held it up again like she didn't wanna put weight on it. But a few seconds later she was walking on it again. It seems to be quick twisting motions that aggravate it, which leads me to believe it is in fact a knee injury. The glucosamine I ordered came in the mail today, so I'm gonna start her on that tonight. Meanwhile, on the dietary front, I got the idea to put a can of salmon in the blender with some water and puree it into salmon gravy, thinking that would be a healthier treat to put on her dry food than the Purina One. Well, she loved it the first night and turned her nose up at it the next. She still likes the pureed salmon by itself, but not as a food topper. So I'm gonna see if that'll be a good thing to mix her glucosmine in. I took her off the nsaids because I don't think they're safe. I think she'll heal okay on her own if I keep her on low-activity and short leash for a month or two. She shouldn't be all that active in the hellish Louisville summer heat, anyway.

Funny, I recall telling you several times how adorable YOUR dogs were, and how sad I was when they had to be put down.

Animals having to be put down is always awful ... just yesterday it was our 6-1/2 year old guinea pig ... I was devastated by the movie Old Yeller as a child ... and my very first dog getting run over when he was six months old was horrible. I'm trying to find some happy thoughts these days ... and I guess that video I posted had something to do with that.

Well, it's not "happy," it's stupid and gross.

Please, tell me that's a congenital defect rather than some owner who said, "Hey, let's make our own mini-kangaroos!'
