Currently listening to Metal Machine Music. Trying to qualify for Facebook's Survivors of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music group, for people who have listened to all four sides in one sitting. I'm only on side 1, and so far it's making me want to scalp myself. If want to really hear MMM, you have to hear it on 8-track.

I think that I could easily pass on that.

I think that I could easily pass on that. Did you mean to say piss on that due to the water and the sinus meds?

Satellite Of Love just came up on Party Shuffle when I opened this page...
Today I went to the record store and I couldn't bring myself to buy the new Decemberists album so I got that new Morrissey one. Whatever. I'm poised to go on another obscure soul/blues/reggae binge.

Most important fact in liner notes of Condo Fucks' Fuckbook: Recorded from 3:00 to 3:35 in Hoboken USA on March 26, 2008
Best joke: Produced by ROBERT "MUTT" LANGE Mixed by BOB CLEARMOUNTAIN Mastered by GREG CALBI at Sterling Sound
It's a fuzzed-out, distorted, feedback-drenched, buried vocals, muddy mess, and it's also a blast.
Now, realizing that about 90% of my recent posts have concerned Sinatra or Yo La Tengo, I will suspend the Hoboken boostering for a while...

If Metal Machine Music floats your boat, try "Seastones" by Ned Lagin & Phil Lesh. When I had it on LP the pops and scratches were the most interesting part of the record. After hearing side 1 it took great courage to put on side 2...

"Hooteroll?"
I just got turned on to this side project Jerry Garcia did in 1970. Howard Wales is the keyboard player whom I never heard of until I heard this.
This is some amazing shit. Forget that it's Jerry Garcia because he really isn't even a focal point for the most part. Actually, his playing is damn good on this album any ways
This is an all instrumental album with a cool combination, jazzy, trippy, and mellow songs; and some serious groovin', ass shaking songs you'll ever hear. I guaranty that you haven't heard many bands get this groovy.
At least Tom and Edbro would dig it.
